21st Century
21st Century Community Learning Centers (21st CCLC) were designed to expand learning opportunities, and support partnerships between schools and community resources. Community learning centers, such as Boys & Girls Clubs, operated during non-school hours, are designed to help students meet State and local student academic achievement standards in core academic subjects and offer them a broad array of activities that can complement their regular academic programs.

Boys & Girls Clubs of Tampa Bay works in tandem with Think Big For Kids to engage Club Kids from 6th – 12th grade with mentorship, internships, scholarships, on-the-job-training, trade school certification and two or four year degrees, depending on their chosen career track.
Feeding Tampa Bay has been an important partner of Boys & Girls Clubs of Tampa Bay, helping to provide hot meals and snacks for kids in our Clubs, who may otherwise be dealing with food scarcity at home.
Boys & Girls Clubs of Tampa Bay are proud to partner with the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office to operate seven Clubs* that are Sheriff Sites, where a Sheriff sub-station operates at the Club with a full-time deputy on site, to provide a positive role model for the Club members.

Boys & Girls Clubs of Tampa Bay work hand in hand with Hillsborough County Schools to provide after-school care at eight School Sites, which include:
Foster Elementary, Greco Middle School, Marshall Middle School, Morgan Woods Elementary, Pierce Middle School, Shields Middle School, Slight Middle School and Tomlin Middle School.
The Children’s Board of Hillsborough County provides funding for before and after school programming at 4 public middle schools. With their support, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Tampa Bay is able to address academic, health and safety, good character and leadership skills, and career exploration topics with the middle school students.
