ANNOUNCEMENT OF INTERIM CEO

TAMPA, FL (May 18, 2020) With the recent resignation of Chris Letsos, President & Chief Executive Officer for Boys & Girls Clubs of Tampa Bay, the Board of Directors is pleased to announce that Keith Harris will assume the role of Interim Chief Executive Officer. 

“During his tenure, Chris provided great strategic vision and leadership to the organization. His partnerships with officials within the county, school boards and law enforcement within both Hillsborough and Pasco Counties enabled the Clubs to greatly expand programming and resources. We will miss Chris as he heads to Tennessee for his next challenge” stated John Tomlin, Board of Directors Chairman for Boys & Girls Clubs of Tampa Bay. 

Mr. Tomlin went on to say, “Keith Harris brings to the position extensive executive leadership having served in senior positions at several local organizations including Kobie Marketing and the Tampa Bay Lightning. Keith has been a life-long member of the Tampa Bay community and a passionate volunteer for Boys & Girls Clubs of Tampa Bay serving as a Director and Past Board Chair. His skills, passion and experience with the organization make him the ideal leader for this position during these dynamic times.” 

A search committee comprised of members of the organization’s Board of Directors, Foundation Trustees and senior leadership has been assembled to launch the search for a permanent President & CEO for Boys & Girls Clubs of Tampa Bay. In the interim, Mr. Harris will be challenged with managing the impact the COVID crisis has had on the Clubs, including providing support to current staff, overseeing plans as the Clubs serve youth over the summer and strategizing for Club operations during the upcoming school year in the fall. With the support of the Clubs professional staff, Mr. Harris will also continue ongoing community engagement efforts.
